Excellent access to abundance of  nature and wildlife.  Country Pub (Anglers Retreat) with real ales and log fires 1 minute away!  Lakeside Walks, Cafe,  Cycle Routes, Bird-watching, Fishing, Sailing and more on the doorstep.  Visitors Centre  in Country Park and Children's  playground. Lakeside can be accessed from our own fields.

With our new luxury toilet cabin now open we are very happy to be able to  re-instate our eco camping rate - £6 per night per person - if you arrive by cycle/walking/public transport with your tent!

* Guided cycle rides  on 1st Sunday entry level, 2nd Saturday (steady) and 2nd Sunday (easy) and 4th Sunday (challenging) every month! Meet 10.15 at the Squires Tea Room, Anglers Country Park Visitors Centre, Wintersett.

What a fantastic  time more than 200 guests had at this years 'supporting heroes' hog roast on Saturday 20th June.    A great big thankyou to everyone who dontated, baked, drank, ate, raffled, played, roasted, volunteered, dressed up, and more...You are stars!   20150626_144144 (3) 

Here's Danny Dance of the Royal British Legion collecting £758.24 which was the final total.  Thank you guests of Wintersett Lakes and patrons of the Anglers Retreat - another fantastic effort by everyone.:) 

Wakefield Hospice £2.50 collection request box for their 25th Anniversary - £66.32 donated by 'Wintersett Wellwishers' - Sept. 2015 Thankyou.

MacMillan coffee morning in the afternoon - Saturday 19th Sept. raised £151.45 - thankyou all. (Especially the fabulous  Kawasaki Vulcan riders and their partners who joined us and strummed the afternoon away for us - it was 'champion' - to describe  it with  a great Yorkshire word!)

The Poppy Themed stick made and dontated by our own 'Mick the Stick' raised £103 for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2015 thank you.
